Uni’s Kuru Toga mechanical pencil features one of the most important technical innovations ever in the world of mechanical pencils. That innovation is a lead rotation system that also gives the product line its name: “kuru” meaning turning, and “toga” which is short for “togaru” or sharp. The Kuru Toga lead engine turns the lead a fraction each time the pencil is lifted off the paper, keeping the tip consistently sharp. No more worries about uneven lines, or lead breakage.

The high grade model has an aluminum grip which also gives the pencil a nice weighty feel and additional control. They body is plastic, and there is a built-in eraser under the cap.
